LA II, Born Angel Oritz in 1967 in New York is an American pop and graffiti artist.
Praised for its unique blend of influences
ranging from Chinese calligraphy to paintings
cave paintings resembling pictographs, its
artwork is characterized by its bright colors and energetic doodling. He adopted the nickname LA II, which means Little Angel, and began tagging at an early age.Ortiz
met Keith Haring at the age of 13 in 1980,
and the two quickly become friends and collaborators, influencing each other's technique and style. Ortiz traveled the world with Haring,
acting as his assistant and contributing to
numerous installations by the famous artist, usually by filling in the spaces between Haring's lines with his own mixture of symbols. Since Haring's untimely death from AIDS in
