This image of a devastated forest was specially commissioned by Greenpeace as part of its 2002 "Save or Delete" campaign, which denounced the ecological scourge of deforestation and campaigned for the protection of animals and their natural habitats. It was intended for use on posters, billboards, and postcards. However, its distribution was halted due to threats from Disney, which refused to allow the use of the main characters from their animated film "The Jungle Book.".
